Prioritet Serneke Arena (former Göteborgs Nya Arena)

Prioritet Serneke Arena is Scandinavia’s largest multi sport facility. The arena is unique in its kind including a skiing facility indoors with a 1,2 kilometer long ski track, a full-sized football pitch, sports halls, gym, rehabilitation clinic, sports shop, a hotel and restaurants together with an elementary school and a gymnasium.

With bleachers that can take up to 3 000 people, seven floors of sports and the ambition to be available for both athletes as well as the public, Prioritet Serneke Arena is the natural venue for everyone passionate in sports, health and culture. Here you can train to win the Olympics one day, go to the gym, have a conference, buy equipment or why not go skiing in the middle of summer? Prioritet Serneke Arena is for everybody.

The 45 300 square meters large facility, which is located in Gothenburg, opened up on July 10th  2015.

Hotel, restaurant & conference

At Kviberg Park Hotel & Conference, you have every possibility to enjoy yourself whether you are visiting a sports event, training camp, company event, conference or if you simply need somewhere to stay during your Gothenburg visit.

Skicenter

Nordic Wellness stands behind the flagship of the arena – Skidome. A 10 000 square meter big cross-country skiing facility – indoors! The ski facility is unique in its kind with a 1,2 kilometers long track inside. The track is partially hilly and there are plans connect it to an outdoor track in the future. It’s open every day between 5 a.m. and 11 p.m. 

Sports shop

Of course Intersport, the world’s largest sports chain, is present at Prioritet Serneke Arena. In the shop you can buy various sports articles and if you need skis – just take the stairs to the first floor where you can buy and rent ski equipment.

Rehabilitation Clinic

IFK Rehab Clinic offers the latest rehabilitation within orthopedics and sports medicines. With knowledge and experience from elite sports the clinic is available for everybody – both athletes and exercisers who wish to prevent, or come back after an injury. 

Football academy

In Prioritet Serneke Arena, IFK Göteborg is developing one of Europe’s leading soccer academies. Everybody can participate in the activities, regardless of where in Sweden you live or which club you belong to. 

Upper secondary school

Aspero Sports gymnasium has a unique concept: a school with a pure sports alignment. All of the students are active athletes. They receive a solid and up-to-date sports education within their chosen sports and also a qualified education within social science or economics. 

Gym

Nordic Wellness offers a complete gym of 4 000 square meters with world-class equipment. Group training from renowned Les Mills is available with many other popular training concepts. There are different rooms for cycling and cardio walking, two generous rooms for aerobics and Hot Mojo (hot yoga), which completes the gym to the fullest. It’s open every day between 5 a.m. and 11 p.m.

Indoor football pitch

Prioritet Serneke Arena holds a full sized international FIFA 2 star artificial turf indoors with bleachers for approximately 3 000 people. It is possible to book both fixed and flexible reservations, and you can also book the field at special events. 

Sports halls

At Prioritet Serneke Arena we have two sports halls suited for basket ball, badminton, gymnastics, handball, floorball and volleyball. Besides these activities, it stands free to practise any sport in the halls. It is possible to book both fixed and flexible reservations as well as booking the halls for special events,

Test Clinic

Aktivitus test clinic & coaching helps athletes on all levels to train smarter. Through physiological tests we develop tools, which optimizes your training after your conditions. Your fitness is our strength! 

Elementary School

Änglagårdsskolan offers a unique soccer and education concept. Today we are Sweden’s leading soccer school and we have students from over 50 sports clubs and 13 municipalities. In Prioritet Serneke Arena, the school can conduct their work in the middle of the best of two worlds – knowledge and soccer. 

Grunden Bois

Grunden Bois is a sports club open for everyone, but especially for players with intellectual disabilities.

Directions from Malmö:
Follow E6 towards Gothenburg, E20 towards Stockholm. Take the exit Munkebäckstorget/SKF and follow the signs towards SKF and later on towards Utby by the traffic lights. In the traffic circle, turn right and you will find the driveway to Prioritet Serneke Arena on your left side. 

Directions from Stockholm:
Follow E20 towards Gothenburg, take the exit Munkebäckstorget/SKF, and follow the signs towards SKF and later on towards Utby by the traffic lights. In the traffic circle, turn right and you will find the driveway to Prioritet Serneke Arena on your left side.

Directions from Göteborg Landvetter Airport: 
Higway 40 towards Gothenburg, E20 towards Stockholm. Take the exit Munkebäckstorget/SKF and follow the signs towards SKF and later on towards Utby by the traffic lights. In the traffic circle, turn right and you will find the driveway to Prioritet Serneke Arena on your left side.

Directions from Karlstad: 
Highway 45 towards Gothenburg, turn right towards Gamlestadstorget while driving alongside with highway 45. Take a left turn at Slakthusgatan (driving under the freeway). Drive towards Gamlestaden and thereafter Kortedala. Drive straight ahead in the traffic circle towards Utby and keep on driving straight ahead in the second traffic circle as well, until you see the driveway of Prioritet Serneke Arena on your left. 

Directions from Kungälv: 
Follow E6 towards Gothenburg, E20 towards Stockholm. Take the exit Munkebäckstorget/SKF and follow the signs towards SKF and later on towards Utby by the traffic lights. In the traffic circle, turn right and you will find the driveway to Prioritet Serneke Arena on your left side. 

COME HERE BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION? 
It’s easy to come to Prioritet Serneke Arena both by bus and tram. 

The tram stop Kviberg (trams 6, 7 and 11) and bus stop Brovägen (bus 58, 59 and 69) are located a short walk from Göteborgs Nya Arena and by using Västtrafik’s website, planning the trip is easy. The traveling time with the tram from the Central station, for example, is eight minutes. From the stops, walk towards and pass Kvibergs Kaserner – then you can’t miss the largest multi sport arena in Scandinavia.
